The Weekly Roundup - 11/6/22

Remember remember the 6th of November! Look, I know the Gunpowder Plot was the 5th and not the 6th, but just give me this one, okay?

We have a lot to talk about today including new pedals, an upcoming in-store event, great used pro-audio gear, the revamping of our drum department, the funkiest bass that ever funked, astounding vintage amps, fiery guitars...  Let's do the thing!

First up, you've probably noticed the banner on our site advertising this, but for those of you who may have missed it, we'll be having an in-store event this upcoming Tuesday, November 8th as part of Taylor's Find Your Fit Sales Event. While here, you'll have the opportunity to meet with Taylor's factory experts and try out a huge selection of their guitars including some one-of-a-kind instruments, take part in free giveaways, and more. To schedule your consultation, all you have to do is scan the QR code or click the image above. We'll see ya there.

If it's been a while since you've shopped our guitar department, now is a great time to do so. We've recently seen a fair amount of restocks including a MASSIVE amount of Ibanez electrics and basses. PRS models have also started to roll-in and we have a handful of Private Stocks that are absolutely immaculate. As you may recall, we were the first dealer to get the PRS Private Stock Hollowbody II with trem. A few have come and gone, but one just landed that is deadly beautiful in Dragon's Breath Glow with matching headstock, tuning knobs, and Flamed Maple inlay.

Let's stick with bright colors here for a second. If that's your thing, it doesn't get much more vibrant than the Fender MonoNeon Signature Jazz Bass V. This yellow and orange beast of a bass features a roasted Maple neck, 18v Preamp system, Hi-Mass bridge, Custom Fireball Humbuckers, and gold hardware. In the case is also a pair of MonoNeon's signature socks, for the true fans. The only thing this bass doesn't come with is the Grammy Award winning fingers to back it up. You'll have to get there on your own.

A trio of classic '60s Fender amps recently landed on the floor and each one is a gem! We've got a '67 Vibro Champ with excellent broken-up tone, a '66 Bassman with the matching 2x12 cab, and a '65 Super Reverb that's had its speakers replaced with '70s Utahs making it sound extra big and beefy. There's something for every kinda Fender fan!

It's been a big week for new pedals! The new PRS effects have started rolling in, a new pedal version of the Soldano SLO has entered the market, and EarthQuaker Devices released version three of their collaborative Sunn O))) Life Pedal with more control than ever before. Pedal releases aren't a competition, but if they were, our friends at Poison Noises would take the crown as they've released TWO new effects this week; The Effluence spring reverb, and The Remnant tape echo, both of which are available now!

We've seen a lot of used synths, Eurorack modules, and general keys come in lately. There's a ton of great stuff to be had, but I'd like to highlight the Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S61. We don't see Native Instruments' controllers come in too often, and with the new release of Komplete 14, now's a great time to jump on this 61 key controller at a reduced price.

Pro Audio has a great deal right now on the Arturia AudioFuse Rev2. This compact audio interface offers a rich feature set including great pre-amps, tons of connectivity options, a high-quality build, and a suite of Arturia's best-in-class digital effects to use in your DAW of choice. These are open box units that come with all of the original packaging and paperwork. All it's missing is part of the price tag.

Lastly, a quick update on the drum department. If you haven't kept up, drums now has more stock available online than ever before. We're working hard to get listings up for all of our hardware and accessories there, but also our used stock including cymbals, snares, and full kits. If you haven't looked in a while, I encourage you to check it out. You can now buy sticks and heads without having to leave your house!

That's a wrap! There is so much great gear here right now and it's only getting better. If you haven't visited us in a while, it's definitely worth the trip. As always, thanks for hanging.
