The Weekly Roundup - 2/13/22

Did you miss us last week? We missed you, too. We have some catching up to do, so let's take a look at what's new!

This week saw the release of a pretty exciting new pedal, the Excess V2 from Old Blood Noise Endeavors. The Excess has always been a lot of fun, but the V2 packs everything that made the V1 great into a small enclosure and adds quite a bit to the formula including a fifths mode in the modulation section, Order switching to run Distortion into Modulation, Modulation into Distortion, or separate parallel paths, and a trim pot on the inside of the pedal to control the modulation mix. Once again, our friend Stefan from The Pedal Zone has an excellent demo if you want to check it out for yourself.

Some of the new for 2022 Fender products have started to roll in, including this gorgeous 60th anniversary Jaguar in Mystic Dakota Red!

These new Jaguars include a pair of special 60th Anniversary Jaguar pickups that add a ton of versatility to the already iconic Jaguar tone. Keep in mind, these Jags are going to be a limited run for Fender, so if you want to check one out, be sure to stop in before they're gone!

Speaking of limited editions, a batch of Korg MiniKORG 700FSs just arrived. These are a faithful reproduction of Korg's original MiniKORG 700S from 1974, an upgrade from the base 700 model. Korg has really nailed it with this one, even enlisting the help of the 700 series original creator Fumio Mieda. If you're a fan of classic 70s synth sounds and aesthetic, this one's for you. It's even got a case!

In the world of vintage gear, we have some pretty great stuff in this week including a set of 1970s Music Man Amps. This weeks vintage winner for me, though, is the Emmons La Grande Pedal Steel from 1983. If you're a steel fan, you know this is THE ONE.

This La Grande is in absolutely stellar condition and made its way to us with its case. It's loaded with a set of Pentade pickups and sounds killer! We have to keep this one close to the chest, so no shipping, but if you're in the area, you'll want to come feast your eyes on this one.

That's gonna wrap it up for this week's roundup, but like I said, there's a lot of catching up to do. Heading over to our new arrivals section on the site is going to be the play as we'll be making our way through a ton of new and used store stock over the next few days.

As always, thanks for hanging!
